Your Guide to OTG Goggles

Your Guide to OTG Goggles

For glasses wearers, getting out on the snow requires extra consideration. Some opt for contacts for days on the slopes, but what if you prefer glasses or have a prescription that makes wearing contacts uncomfortable or impossible? You may need ski goggles you can wear over your glasses. That is where OTG goggles come in.

OTG or “over the glasses” goggles are designed to be worn comfortably over your prescription glasses so you can see clearly on the mountain. These goggles have a few special features that were made with glasses wearers in mind and make it like you’re wearing prescription snow goggles.

OTG Goggle Features

  • Taking the Pressure Off: OTG goggles have a floating foam membrane that eliminates eyeglass temple pressure. Put more simply that means there’s a clever little cutout in the goggle frame to allow for the stems of your glasses to fit comfortably.
  • Plenty of Room: Our OTG goggles are designed with roomy interiors so your glasses can comfortably fit inside, this extra space also helps maximize fog prevention.
  • Fog Free: In addition to interior volume as a measure for fog prevention, our OTG goggles have a couple more features to keep things clear run after run. The goggles have a Fog-X anti-fog inner lens as well as two-layer DriWix face foam that wicks moisture work together for a fog-free fit.

Fitting Your OTG Goggles

When putting on your OTG goggles, you can always start by wearing your glasses and just popping your goggles on over them, but you may find it more comfortable and a bit easier to pop your glasses into the goggle lens chamber and then put them on at the same time when they’re nested together.

Once on, as with all goggles, you’ll want to tighten the goggle strap to compress the goggle foam so that the goggles fit snugly against your face.
